Berlin's largest lake is a wonderful day trip destination in the east of the city. In addition to the large sandy beach in the north, you will find many other bathing areas and beaches around the lake. An extensive and excellently developed cycle path system leads around the lake. The Spree flows through Müggelsee. To change banks, you can either take a ferry on the east side or even a scheduled rowing ferry. On the west side you will find the Spree tunnel, where you can push your bike up a steep ramp or carry it down the stairs.
