In the area of the municipality Wiesau a trail leads through the land of the 1,000 ponds. Countless ponds where fish farming was practiced were already created here in the Middle Ages. Today, fish farming is no longer so important, but many rare species have settled here. The path leads along the lakeshore and over narrow strips of land between the ponds.
