The so-called Old Post Office in Hattersheim am Main is a former horse-changing station and post office of the Thurn and Taxis Post Office, which held the German postal monopoly from 1489 to 1850. Following renovations from 1979 to 1982, the Post Office is now used by the city and administration, as a registry office, and for cultural events.
