    Somsdorfer Klamm
    The Somsdorfer gorge is the lowest section of a side valley of the Red Weisseritz near Freital in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Ore Mountains. Since 1961 it has been designated as part of the nature reserve Rabenauer Grund.

    The devil's pulpit
    As Somsdorfer gorge the notched valley of a reason is called, which begins below the butter road at Somsdorf and passes into the Rabenauer reason below the bottleneck. It is located in the districts Somsdorf and Coßmannsdorf. The adjacent forest section towards Somsdorf is referred to as the Hainleithen.

    In 1894 a path was created by Heimatfreunden, several steps on the Teufelskuppe (282.6 meters) created and set wood for the climb on the rocks. With the development of the reason this also got his name.

    Buchbach [edit | Edit]

    The entire ground is traversed by the Buchbach, which rises above the road from Somsdorf to Lübau (Kirchweg) and flows into the Rote Weißeritz.

    Landscape conservation [edit | Edit]

    It is located in the nature reserve "Rabenauer Grund" under protection on March 30, 1961 as well as in the protected landscape area "Valley of the Red Weißeritz" on July 4, 1974. It is also located in the protected area of ​​the Natura 2000 "valleys of Roter Weißeritz and Oelsabach".
