Today was on Shrove Tuesday without having inquired whether the castle has opened and whether a bus back to Ettal mill. Unfortunately, the castle was closed and the bus connections were very rare. Then I hitchhiked back to the mill.
The castle park is huge, the water games behind the castle and between the castle and Venustempel are gigantic in summer.March 5, 2019
