Centuries-old town with the Colegiata de Santillana del Mar (Collegiate Church of St. Juliana, Sant Iuliana - Santillana), which gave the town its name, as well as numerous trading houses and palaces. There is an absolute driving ban in the entire old town.
Above the city, the Altamira Caves, with their famous prehistoric rock paintings and engravings. Replicas of these drawings that are true to the original are open to the public in a museum.
