The gatehouse is the last preserved of the three former gate towers in the course of the city wall from the time of Bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn (1573-1617) on Kissinger Strasse. The three-storey building with stepped gables is called Torhaus because of the gatekeeper's apartment inside.

Hiking

The tithe cellar in Euerdorf near the gatehouse was built in 1657. At this time Johann Philipp von Schönborn (1605-1673) was Prince-Bishop of Würzburg and thus head of the place. His coat of arms is above the cellar entrance.
The building is a two-story structure with stepped gables. It was the official building of the Hochstift Würzburg with a stately apartment on the ground floor. The building also has a large wine cellar.
