This small chapel located in the middle of vast agricultural landscapes owes its name to the fact that an oak tree was originally located next to it. Today it is surrounded by two maple trees and is the only vestige of a leprosarium present there from the 13th to the 18th century. A religious building of this name is in fact cited in texts as early as 1358. Built in Gobertange stone, a regional material par excellence, this chapel is in a classic style. The current building was rebuilt in 1768, as indicated by the date on the lintel of the porch. Inside, a Louis XV-XVI style altar is preserved, contemporary with the construction of the building. There is also a statue of the Virgin, dressed in Spanish style. Popular piety still has some extensions in this place today. Thus, the Virgin of Notre-Dame du Culot, kept in the chapel, participates every year in the Saint-Corneille procession. Services are sometimes celebrated there on the occasion of the Marian feasts of the Assumption and the Nativity of the Virgin.

A local resident told us that this was also the leper chapel, belonging to a leper colony with a farm nearby, in the 14th century.
Now it is an idyllic resting place to enjoy the wide surroundings.
