Walking the sculpture trail is a worthwhile thing. On the one hand, the kilometer-long shore path offers a fantastic backdrop to the exhibits, some of which are as tall as a man, and on the other hand, it introduces the visitor to the wildly romantic world of wood carving. Countless objects in the most varied of shapes and forms characterize the Brienz lakeside promenade and thus the heart of the Oberland village. Brienz is world-famous for its wooden art and the school for wood carving is located near the evangelical church.

Hiking

As always with art, there are one or two questions about "what is the artist trying to tell us with this?", but that is ultimately what makes art. There are lots of great sculptures, the "upside down town musicians" are particularly funny 😅.
The path also leads along Lake Brienz - so it's definitely worth the detour (but be careful: in high season it will probably be quite crowded because everyone wants their own spot along the lake).
