Why this tower is called "Hexentürmchen" and since when is unknown. Unfortunately, from this tower, which was part of the pre-fortification of Balduinseck Castle, there are no more remains of the wall Stream into the opposite slope and continue parallel to the road to a steeply sloping rock ledge. On the other side of the mountain slope, from the tower to the Mastershausener Bach, there is neither a ditch nor a defensive wall or any other form of fortification.
