The former church from the 15th century was completely renovated in the 1980s and painted in the expressionist style. Where the clergy once walked, the Kreuzkirche in the heart of Nürtingen is now a very special event location.

The Nürtinger Kreuzkirche was built in 1455 as a cemetery church. At the end of the 18th century, the cemetery in the city center was abandoned and a new cemetery was created. The Kreuzkirche was renovated in 1928/29 and painted in the Expressionist style. The building has been used for cultural purposes since the 1980s. As a location for exhibitions and concerts, it is a cultural focus in Nürtingen. As part of the redesign of Schillerplatz in 2019, the Kreuzkirche was upgraded as a central building.
