The Kamenice is a right tributary of the Elbe in northern Bohemia in the Czech Republic. It rises in 595 m.n.m. in the Lusatian Mountains in Bohemia on the ridge of the Stožec south of the Jedlová train station. The largest tributary is the Chřibská Kamenice. It flows into the Elbe in Hřensko on the Czech-German border.

The 37.5 km long tributary of the Elbe, in English Kamnitz, accompanies you on a beautiful, natural hike through the gorge of the same name. The gorge can be reached in two dammed areas with two boat trips (Edmundsklamm, 20 min, € 5.00 p.p. / Wilde Klamm, 15 min, € 3.50 p.p.).
Tip: Better to visit during the week, there are a lot of hikers on nice weekends and public holidays. A relaxed journey with the S-Bahn line 1 or RB line U 28 to Schöna, then crossing by ferry, is recommended.
