The Kirchbühl Chapel, near Radspitze, is the last structure of a once stately farm at this point. (Initials on the apex "JG 1841") It was miraculously spared in January 2007 by storm "Kyrill" by breaking trees all around.

This peculiarity described by Olli gave rise to numerous arguments. This was also the case in 1705, when the farmer Hans Engelhardt wanted to marry his neighbor's daughter in the Catholic parish church in Zeyern. Since he was a Protestant and therefore part of the church of Seibelsdorf, the margrave bailiff wanted to prevent the marriage in Zeyern. To do this, he guarded the two courtyards together with musketeers in order to seize the bride and groom as soon as they left for the Zeyerner church. Then he wanted to bring the bride and groom to Seibelsdorf and get married there in the Protestant church. The Bamberg bailiff had learned of this plan. He gathered 100 Landwehr men and moved with them to Kirchbühl. Outnumbered, the Seibelsdorfers withdrew and the wedding finally took place as planned in the Zeyern parish church. The chapel is open and can be visited. A seating group under the lime trees invites you to linger. Not far from the chapel there is also the enclosed spring of the two farms. To do this, follow the unmarked path at the chapel crossing for about 150m. On the right side there is then the contained source.© ️https: //baysf.de/de/wald-erkunden/ausflugsziel-tipps/radspitze-und-kirchbuehlkapelle.html

I like the beautiful solid slate table, which invites you to have a snack, and the beautiful large linden trees that have been planted around the chapel.
