The St. Petri church - hall church of late Gothic - has a very eventful history. The first mention was made around 1174, in January 1430 it was destroyed for the first time by the Hussites - along with the city. Reconstruction began in 1439.In 1553 - the church was converted into a fortified church during the federal war - it was then destroyed again. It was not rebuilt until six years later, and in 1568 the tower was rebuilt.
