Parking just a short walk away from the castle. The castle sits in a field so there may be cattle at certain times of the year.
A small loop down to the Ythan river is a fine addition to walking to the castle and makes a good outing last a little longer.

Hiking

Interesting ruin owned by the Haddo Estate. It is fenced off, although that may be more to keep the cows out. Didn't see any cows in the field, but there was evidence they were there.
