The old cemetery in Breisach is located between Kupfertorstraße and Muggensturmstraße. It was used as a cemetery between 1639 and 1858. Unfortunately, only a few tombstones from the 18th and 19th centuries have survived.

These include, for example, the resting places of the Catholic city priest Johann Baptist Hölzlin (1715-1818) and Pantaleon Rosmann (1776-1853) in front of the entrance to St. Joseph's Church. The latter was a great benefactor and the first honorary citizen of Breisach. A part of the old cemetery area has now been converted into building land.
