Hiking Highlight
The Col de la Schlucht is one of the most famous passes in the Vosges and lies at 1,139 meters above sea level. In winter it is a winter sports center with the appropriate ski lifts. In summer it is an ideal destination for excursions but also as a starting point for hiking tours. There is a summer toboggan run right next to it. There is also a restaurant / brasserie with a terrace. Parking spaces are plentiful - but can get tight in winter.

From one of the parking lots on the pass you can do various interesting tours.
Above all, the Strohmeyerpfad and the Hirschsteinpfad start right here.
If you start the tours from a different point, there is a rest stop here.

Of course it's just a tourist point. For me, however, in so far interesting because many trails start from here and access roads to other hiking points come together. Thus simply a great starting point to get to know the great environment.

great hiking area if you don't choose the rush hour. Even when it rains, the trails have their charm;)
