Corbar Cross, erected in 1950, stands on the summit of Corbar Hill and was a gift from the Duke of Devonshire to Buxton Catholics. It was controversially cut down in 2010 by protestors against the Pope's visit to Britain but a replacement was put up the year after.

After reaching the peak, it’s best to go back the way you came. The path indicated in the guide is extremely steep. It’s not safe even if the trail is dry and you have a hiking pole and sturdy shoes.

Bit of a climb to get up the last bit and if it's wet the walk up will me muddy through Corbar Woods
