At approx. 39.5 m above sea level, this hill is currently the highest accessible survey in the state of Bremen.
In the public part of the garbage dump, Metalhenge was created based on Stonehenge. Instead of stone pillars, sheet pile walls up to four meters high were erected here at Metalhenge.

The idea for this came from Thomas Roth, who also designed the lookout point. The astronomical advice came from
Dieter Vornholz (Olbers Planetarium Bremen). The audio guides and social media are handled by Henri Leinfelder (Olbers Planetarium Bremen).

A visit is also worthwhile with friends who are not from Bremen and to perish, as both the city and the hinterland can be seen. And it's a bit crazy to hike up a mountain of rubbish, so you should think about your own behavior.

To avoid car and heavy-duty traffic at the foot of the landfill site, hikers should visit the mountain outside of regular working hours whenever possible (i.e. on Sundays and public holidays, late in the evening or early in the morning). Metalhenge is open 24/7!

If you have enough time in your luggage and a bike with you, you can also combine the mountain adventure with a round trip through the Blockland.
