The Feldkogel (1,872 meters) rises not far from the Kärlinger Haus. From the mountain hut, it is an easy summit destination that can be reached relatively quickly. You'll be there in just an hour. Ideal for crowning a shorter day's stage in the Steinernes Meer with a magnificent view of the Königssee.

Hiking
From the Kärlingerhaus or Funtensee the Feldkogel can be reached in about one hour. The ascent is rocky, but good to do. The way back takes about 45 minutes. If you stay overnight at the Funtensee, you can comfortably make the summit in the morning after breakfast and then descend via the Saugasse towards St. Bartholomä. So you arrive at 16 o'clock at Königssee and still has enough time for a swim in the lake and a delicious meal at the Königsseefischer.
