It is ideally located for contemplating San Lorenzo beach, its typical surfers, the Gijón promenade, and the entire face of the city that looks out to sea. Furthermore, it is the gateway to the fishing district of Cimadevilla. It is next to the starting or ending point of the Vía de la Plata, marked by the monument to Emperor Octavian Augustus. He promoted the connection of the Roman roads that vertebrated this peninsular corridor.
