The Schlaubemühle was the first mill to be built on the Schlaube.

In 1370 the mill appeared for the first time in a document from Charles IV. At this time, Abbot Nicholas was in charge of the Neuzelle monastery.

In 1420 it was mentioned in the documents of the Neuzeller inheritance book as “mole zu Werchenow”. It was the first mill to use the water from the Schlaube to drive the mill wheel to grind the farmers' grain.

Wirchenow was located on the eastern slope of Lake Wirchensee and the mill came to the village of Stapelln after it was deserted. Neuzelle Abbey assigned mill guests from Bahro, Göhlen, Henzendorf, Kobbeln and Stapelln to the mill.

The mill changed hands several times until 1600.

From 1693 to 1942, when the last miller at Schlaubemühle, Gustav Lindner, died, the mill was owned by the Lindners.
