In 1996 a pilot light was lit on the fire carrier of the former Devin lower fire. The red lattice beacon with a square basket is on the small Devin peninsula, in the south-east of Stralsund, at the outlet of Lake Devin. The Devin beacon marks the navigation channel through the Strelasund in a north-westerly direction.
