You just have to do it if near Dolgellau - not hard, there are several paths - it is not uncommon for some martyrs to attempt all the ascents in a single day. Done it loads from each route, all just as good - not too busy so stop to chat to fellow climbers going the other way

Hiking

Cader Idris is quite an isolated mountain so it has extensive views particularly to the north and south. The views along its east west ridge are also good.
