The King, a squat but smooth gritstone outlier about 50m from the main Nine Ladies stone circle on Stanton Moor in the Derbyshire Peak District. With 19th century graffiti.

Peak archaeologist John Barnatt has postulated that it may be the sole element evident above ground of some more complex prehistoric monument, possibly even another stone-circle.
