Fantastic route, a walk with great optional scrambles on the way up Mynydd Drws-y-coed, great views all the way round the loop, both high and low.

Amazing walk, the slate mine ruins are fantastic to explore, and the terrain keeps it interesting, although a little too much for the youngest in places, so, in the end we walked beneath Moelwyn Bach instead of going over it.

Day 2.
The longest ride of the year(time wise), on the longest day of the year.
Wanting to make the most of the cooler temperatures, we got the day started at sunrise once again, as the hottest day of the year lay in wait.

An early ride out to stanton moor to check it out by bike before it gets busy.
Lots of camping on there at the moment, spoiling it somewhat.
In any case the riding was still good, a stop at Matlock park halfway for a coffee and an 8am cake.
Loads of bridleways, some road work, steep at times both up and down, good fun👍🏼
@Ben they'll be mopping up the last of the red berries on the bushes I should imagine, we had some in our garden today doing that 👍😉
