The water is considered to be rich in fish. All important Central European fish species such as eel, perch, bream, flounder, carp, sea trout, burbot, roach, tench, plaice, smelt and pikeperch are found here and are therefore mainly of interest to coarse fish anglers. Fishing from a boat is permitted. Guest anglers can purchase fishing permits for this water.
The fishing water is managed by the Holmer Fishermen's Guild.
