Hiking

There were six mills in the idyllic valley below Lehesten, all of which have disappeared because they were located very close to the border. The people who lived in the mills were forcibly resettled in 1952. At the end of the 1950s, most of the buildings were demolished. The slate mill stood until 1983. In addition to the Klimpermühle, there was also the Teichmühle, the Krummholzhammer, the Papiermühle, the Schiefermühle and the Alte Mühle.

Hiking

There seem to have been many mills all around Lehesten. Even if some are no longer preserved, I think it's great, also from a historical point of view, that signs have been put up at the former locations. Thanks to the Lehesten elementary school.
