This new crucifix, positioned in the spring of 2020 near the release station of the former Tremol 2 chairlift, represents the gift that the Gardena author Hellmuth Schmalzl wanted to give to Piancavallo. Born in Gardena in 1948, a former alpine skier and coach, Schmalzl was for years the sports director and facilities manager of the ski resort.
The Christ, 2m 40m tall, is made from the wood of a lime tree felled in 2018 by storm Vaia. It is fixed on a 5 m larch cross.

Mountain biking
In this period, a few meters below the Christ erected at the base of Monte Tremol (Piancavallo), many edelweiss can be seen. Many of which are surrounded by a series of stones to be better identified.
