The Brunnenstub is right on the edge of the road, but can still be overlooked very quickly. The view through the grille offers an interesting view of the old village well of Sora.

A fountain room or spring tapping is the edging of a spring for the extraction of drinking water or medicinal water. Well rooms as closure structures of the well prevent surface water from flowing into the well. The structure consists of masonry stones with spaces through which the water to be collected can flow. Solids that are entrained in the water and pollute the water can settle in the subsequent water basin.
