The railway bridge Neurüdnitz-Siekierki was rebuilt as one of a few border bridges ten years after the end of the war. It is the longest over the Oder and was built for military strategic purposes, but almost not used. Between 2014 and 2016, you could cross the bridge with a hand-operated trolley, but this bridge taxi may no longer be operated for nature conservation reasons. There are probably still considerations to use the bridge tourist, but so far failed for precisely these reasons.
