The church in Twann, formerly St. Martin, was built around 1482 and is a solid building with a stately front tower and a choir closed on three sides. The striking church is at the eastern entrance to Twann. The earliest tangible church was a single apse hall from the 9th/10th. Century, which was redesigned in 1666-67 by Abraham I Dünz to a uniform sermon hall. The structure of the late Gothic complex still characterizes the architecture of the church today. The church windows from 1978-82 are by Max Brunner.
