A cycle path now leads along the old Wiesentalbahn railway line, affectionately known as "Todtnauerli" at the time. As usual on old railway lines with a smooth gradient and gentle curve radii, but unfortunately not asphalted. The gravel used is very fine and tidy, but with narrow racing bike tires it is still not a real pleasure. You can still consider this alternative up the valley, because the parallel B317 is very busy with excursion traffic, especially on weekends, and is not particularly attractive by bike.

The Todtnauerliweg is one of the most beautiful bike paths in the Wiesental valley. It features both paved and sandy sections that run parallel, allowing you to ride almost side by side.
