Forte Tagliata della Scala is a military fortress built to defend the Italian border against the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It is located in the municipal area of Cismon del Grappa, near the hamlet of Primolano. The work was part of the Brenta-Cismon Barrage, and was built between 1892 and 1904, shortly after Primolano was annexed to the Kingdom of Italy. Like the nearby Forte delle Fontanelle, it did not actually have any part in the conflict, and was abandoned by the Italians following the rout of Caporetto.
