The synagogue in Estenfeld was rebuilt in 1808. Presumably there was a synagogue on the same property before. Due to the reduced number of parishioners, the synagogue was no longer used in 1934. In 1938 the Jewish community had meanwhile sold the building.

The building was completely available in its structural fabric until 1990. It was last privately owned and used as a residential building. During the conversion to a residential building, some windows were bricked up. The ground floor windows, the entrance portal and the roof, however, were preserved in the original.

To make room for the expansion of a food market, the synagogue was demolished in 1990 with the approval of the responsible district office. Nothing is left of the synagogue. There is no information or memorial plaque. On the extension of the town hall (Untere Ritterstraße), a simple plaque reminds of the former Jewish community in Estenfeld.

On September 23, 2007, a stone stele was inaugurated on the square of the old synagogue (now the parking lot of the grocery store) (to conclude the laying of the "stumbling blocks" in Estenfeld, see above).
