At this point in the Gramschatz forest is the Hohenroth desert, where there used to be a farmstead with surrounding fields and meadows. Today there is a small chapel at this place in the forest with a resting place. Today's chapel was created from a former oven of the settlement. It wasn't until 1979 that the "oven" was converted into what is now the forest chapel.
