The Churfirsten panorama trail high above Lake Walen is a very beautiful, strenuous and challenging trail. From Walenstadt first uphill on asphalt roads, then on gravel roads over the Schrina, Schwaldis and Säls Alps, here already on the S2 trail, then from Säls many places on the S3. The descent from Laubegg in the forest is also tough (rough, steep trail, S2 and S3, it only gets easier further down. Finally, you (almost) pass the Serenbach Falls (a short detour on foot is worth it). Easy going "Leaving then along the lake (passable for a limited time!) to Weesen.

The whole tour (made in April 2017) has a fantastic view

Don't go before September. In summer the path is partly overgrown. And even in early July there was still an avalanche cone. Luckily it has a stair-like shape, but it is very dangerous at the bottom.
