Hiking

Built in the neo-Gothic style, Ketschendorf Castle was erected in 1803 by Baroness von Stolzenau in the middle of the park. Today, it is one of the buildings in the neo-Gothic belt of Coburg. From 1956 to 2010, it was used as a youth hostel. Today, the castle belongs to the Coburg company "Kaeser Kompressoren" and is used as a training center.

The neo-Gothic Ketschendorf Castle is located in the Ketschendorf district of Coburg at the foot of the Buchberg. Baroness von Stolzenau had it built at the beginning of the 19th century in the middle of an extensive park. The castle is one of the most perfect buildings in Coburg's neo-Gothic belt and has had nine different owners. From 1956, it was used as a youth hostel, which was closed on December 1, 2010. In 2013, the Coburg company Kaeser Kompressoren acquired the property and had it converted into a seminar and training center.
