Near here you have ice cream parlor Salute. A household name in Zwolle and the surrounding area. Have you hiked or cycled and you really want good ice cream, so not just tasty, but really tasty, then go to Salute. Right next to the bridge at the head of the Diezerstraat opposite the old city wall.

The Diezerpoort is a former city gate (± 1475) in the city wall of Zwolle, which was demolished in 1828 and 1829. Nowadays, only the contours of the road surface remain where the gate once stood. The approach in the form of a curve in the city wall has also been included.
The gate was on the spot where the current Diezerstraat ends. On the gate was a picture of the patron saint of the city: Saint Michael. This statue has been preserved and can now be seen in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption.
