The Carl-Escher-Weg is suitable for hikes and – with a few adjustments – also for a bike ride.
On the 65.3 kilometer long route you can enjoy the varied landscape of the Coburg region and learn more about the exciting history of the Duchy of Coburg.
The “red dot on a white background” marking guides you through the well-signposted route.
The tour takes you over the highest peaks in the Coburger Land, the Lauterberg, the Sennigshöhe and of course the Veste Coburg, from where you have a wonderful view.
The proportion of trails is 20 percent, ten percent are on roads.
The rest is on gravel and forest paths.
Please note that some sections are only suitable for experienced cyclists.
