On September 23, 2021, the bridge was opened for pedestrians and cyclists over the narrowest part of the Ostorfer See. It is 92 m long and connects the Krösnitz and Dwang peninsulas. The bridge is part of the long-distance cycle route Hamburg-Rügen and the Residenzstädte-Rundweg.

You can skate over the bridge without any problems. On it mine has a beautiful view on both sides of the Ostorfer See and the Schwerin old town.
