Below the Neunerköpfle (mountain) in the Tannheimertal you will find the Usseralpe at an altitude of 1665 metres. The managed alpine pasture can also be reached via the Neunerköpfle gondola (although you do have to walk a bit) and is therefore popular with families who just want to descend from the mountain.

A gravel forest path leads to the alpine pasture from Tannheim, Schmieden district. The gravel path or the alpine pasture is particularly popular with mountain bikers, who ride the route uphill and downhill. More comfortable athletes use the Neunerköpfle gondola to transport their mountain bikes and only ride downhill.

For families with strollers, the descent is possible with an all-terrain stroller, but a Krakse = child carrier is recommended for the uphill.

As mentioned, a comfortable option is possible via the cable car and the ascent via the forest path. For the ascent from Tannheim, we recommend using the public and private parking spaces, which are always subject to a fee! From Schmieden, the route is marked with a few signs. On foot, uphill, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. The forest path is well developed and makes the ascent easier. The path leads past small streams and waterfalls, including the Urfall.

On the Alpe, a spacious sun terrace with a wonderful view of Tannheim and a hearty snack awaits you.
