When the parish church of St. Johann was completed in its present form in 1763 and commissioned by the auxiliary bishop Karl Jos. Fugger was consecrated, Spiritual Counselor Eustachius Antonius Ignatius von Goldbach was a pastor in Sigmaringen. The ruling prince was Joseph Friedrich von Hohenzollern (1715-1769).
