The Hatertse and Overasseltse Vennen is an area of approximately 520 hectares in the municipalities of Heumen and Wijchen, province of Gelderland. The area consists of about twenty named pools. There are some beautiful (narrow) cycle paths through the area. The other trails are only accessible to hikers.

Even though the sandy paths here are prohibited for cyclists, the cycle path that runs through this area is also worthwhile!

Cycling
Very beautifull indeed, but limited cycling allowed in almost the whole area. Cycling only on especially apointed cycle paths, but there are almost no such paths (some asphalt paths along sand roads, but not many). Hiking would be a better activity to discover the beauty of this area.
