The Lac Vert lies at 1,044 meters above sea level and covers a total area of around 7.2 hectares. The intense green color comes from algae, which grow strongly and quickly, especially in summer.

The color is just crazy. Unfortunately not suitable for bathing because of the cyoan bacteria.

Lac Vert is located on the Tanet massif at 1053 meters above sea level. Its area is 7.2 ha. It owes its name to the reflection of the fir trees which surround it and to an algae which proliferates from the end of June to the end of July.
Sometimes, on Sunday morning you can hear the sound of the horns of the Alps adding to the magic of the place. The lake is easy to access, you can park your car nearby (access by road from Munster to the Col de la Schlucht and forest road from kilometer 12).
Suggested itinerary: Lac Vert and Lac du Forlet via the ridges (2h)
