The ruins of Ostrý Castle lie on the top of a volcanic cone (552.6 m) about 1 km southeast of Milešov in the Bohemian Central Mountains. The castle was built in the early 15th century by Václav Kaplíř of Sulevice. The first mention of the castle, called Schrafenstein in German, dates back to 1436. The castle provided security during the Hussite Wars.
