Small parking lot and a good starting point for hikes or MTB tours on the Rhine and in the surrounding area.
To the castle:
A fort already stood here in late Roman times (approx. 450 AD). The Alemanni expelled the Romans and all subsequent rulers were eager to secure the strategically important Rhine from here. Archaeologists have uncovered the small remains of a Merovingian tower.
