Terhove Castle is located on the east side of Bommershoven, a sub-municipality of Borgloon in the Belgian province of Limburg. The castle is located on the edge of the Mombeek.

Originally a Roman villa was located here. In the Middle Ages, a provost house of Corbie Abbey was located here, from where the abbey estates in the area were administered.

    History
In 2001 the tenant farmer stopped his activities in the leasehold farm of the castle. The farm was run between 2004 and 2008 as chambres d'hôtes de charme Het Pachthuis.

The high brick gatehouse with saddle roof contains a coat of arms and the mention anno 1723. The door lintel bears the inscription In Concordia Humilitate (1759).

Although Terhove belongs administratively to Borgloon, it has more historical ties with Widooie. It is also called Court of Corbie

The castle domain Ter Hove is located on the eastern border of the municipality of Bommershoven on the western bank of the Mombeek. Originally, it was a Gallo-Roman domain that was taken over by the Franks and was located immediately south of the Roman road. The current building complex is a closed manor farm with a house converted into a castle wing, a monumentally converted tenant's house, barns and stables. The domain is characterized by a park and orchards and is accessible from various directions via avenues. The protection of the castle as a monument was declared null and void by judgment of the Council of State, number 202.329, on March 25, 2010. For the history of the domain, castle and farm, you can visit the site of the inventory of immovable heritage: inventaris.onroerenderfgoed.be/erfgoedobjecten/31755
