The climb to the Lecht Ski centre and summit when riding from the north really starts in Tomintoul at about 345m. You follow the A939 up the valley to the sharp bend at the Well of Lecht at about 460m. From here when you round the bend it's an almost straight road and steeper to the summit at 640m. An awesome climb! Good in descent as well.

On the A939 the climb starts from Cockbridge. It may have a few undulations along the way, but that doesn't make it any easier!
