One of 7 chapels of the "Passos of the Ovar"
Considered a site of public interest since 1946, they consist of seven 18th-century Rococo chapels, setting an architectural and artistic record unique in Portugal. The route of the chapels symbolizes the passion of Christ:
(1) Passo do Pretorio chapel (interior of the parish church)
(2) Passo da Queda Chapel (Rua Alexandre Herculano)
(3) Passo do Encontro Chapel (Rua Alexandre Herculano)
(4) Passo do Cirineu Chapel (Rua Cândido dos Reis)
(5) Passo da Verónica Chapel (Praça da República)
